Mt. Ruth - Rainier

Hidden under that vortex of cloud is the summit of Mt. Rainier. A spring storm with high winds, clouds and rain was forecast. High on the northeast side of Rainier, we were in the shadow and sheltered from the storm. (Album not available)

The weather sure didn't look promising as I left the parking area at exit 47. Low dark clouds, new snow with more on the way. Very pleasant surprise to get above them and into the sun. (Album not avaliable) |
