Starting at the Beverly Turnpike Trailhead (#1391), we followed the trail as it heads north up the Beverly Creek valley to a junction with Trail #1226.1 (County Line Trail).  We followed this trail steeply uphill to Fourth Creek Pass. We dropped down from the pass, under some loose rock and scree to a point S and below a 6240+ rock outcrop and then began a steep scramble toward the summit ridge over dirt, rock and eventually snow.  We actually topped out where we thought the summit was, but once we were able to see around us, noticed the high point was really a few hundred yards south.  Good trip, with the rainy weather staying west of the crest for the day.
