Leaving the lake for Star.  Weoriginally planned to cross the north ridge that runs back to Pt. 7912 and cross the basin before gaining Star's SW ridge, but crossing the ridge seemed more work than it was worth and we fell back on to the trail and followed it to the SW ridge instead.
