From what I remember of this scramble, we left Rd 1890 at around 1800' and climbed up steep timbered slopes to the 4300' saddle south of the summit.  We ran out of time (got a very late start and some route finding problems) and didn't like the look of the descent we'd need to make off the ridge top we were on to the actual saddle.  The south side of Round Mtn. looked to be mucj more difficult than I figured it should have been from the route description, so maybe we were in the wrong place.  One of the people on the trip had done the peak partially and they remembered coming more from the east.  Looked to me like we should have traversed north from the ridge toward Round Mtn at about 4000' to 4200'.  We'd have avoided the steep section off the ridge requiring a dicey downclimb.
Either way, we retraced our steps back to the road and cars.

Directions:
Drive Hwy 530 east from Arlington and before entering Darrington, go left on Swede Haven Road.  Follow to 371st Ave NE which becomes gravel.  I think we drove as far as we could but were not able to make it to the end.
